BactoReal® Kit Pseudomonas aeruginosa

BactoReal KIT Pseudomonas aeruginosa_DHUBBactoReal_IVD_FAM

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram-negative bacterium found widely in the environment, such as in soil, water, and plants. It usually does not cause infections in healthy people. If an infection occurs in a healthy person, it is generally mild. Serious Pseudomonas infections usually can be found in people in the hospital and/or with weakened immune systems.  It is the most common pathogen isolated from hospitalized patients, and it is a frequent cause of nosocomial infections. Pseudomonal infections are complicated and can be life-threatening. In these people infections of the blood, pneumonia, and infections following surgery can lead to severe illness and death.

BactoReal® Kit Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a real-time PCR test for the detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa DNA. The included internal DNA positive control system can be used as DNA extraction and PCR inhibition control.
