ViroReal Porcine Parvovirus

 

 

Background: Porcine parvovirus (PPV) is a member of the Parvoviridae family with a single-stranded DNA as genome. PPV is associated with reproductive problems, including abortion, still births, small litters, neonatal deaths and weak piglets. PPV multiplies normally in the intestine of the pig without causing clinical signs. Disease occurs when sero-negative dams are infected in the first half of gestation and the virus crosses the placenta.

ViroReal® Porcine Parvovirus is a detection assay for rapid and sensitive detection of DNA of porcine parvovirus (PPV) by real-time PCR.
