Information:  Histophilus somni is an unencapsulated gram-negative bacterium and a member of the Pasteurellaceae family. It is a common commensal in the lower reproductive and upper respiratory tract of cattle and other ruminants. H. somni is one of the bacterial agents responsible for bovine respiratory disease (BRD) complex and associated with respiratory disease, arthritis, mastitis, myocarditis and reproductive failure in sheep and cattle. Other important bacterial pathogens of BRD are Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Trueperella pyogenes and Mycoplasma bovis. Mixed infections with these organisms do occur.

Beschreibung:  BactoReal^® Kit Histophilus somni basiert auf der Amplifikation des 16S rRNA Gens für den Nachweis von Histophilus somni mittels real-time PCR. Unser sorgfältiges Design von Primern und Sonden gewährleistet höchste Sensitivität und Spezifität. Das Kit besteht aus einem Assay Mix für den Nachweis des Pathogens sowie einer Positivkontrolle und einer internen Positivkontrolle (IPC). Der mitgelieferte Reaktionsmix enthält dUTP und Uracil-N Glycosylase (UNG) um PCR carry-over Kontaminationen zu minimieren.

PCR Geräte: BactoReal^® Kit Histophilus somni wurde für folgende Geräte entwickelt und validiert: Applied Biosystems^® 7500 System (Thermo Fisher Scientific), LightCycler^® 480 (Roche) und Mx3005P^® QPCR System (Agilent), ist aber auch für andere real-time PCR Geräte geeignet.

Assay: Optional - Dieses Produkt ist auch in einem Assay-only Format mit Primern, Sonde und einer Positivkontrolle, jedoch ohne Reaktionsmix erhältlich.
